Jansen worked as a photographer for different platforms and genres namely; Manila Bulletin, ABSCBNnews, Rappler to name a few. He also worked as a close-in photographer for Vice President candidate Bongbong Marcos.

He started as a junior photographer (S.Y. 2012-13) at the Flame, the official student publication of Faculty of Arts and Letters, University of Santo Tomas. After a year of covering different events inside and outside the university, he became the Photography Editor of the said publication for the school year 2013-2014. Jansen is also a member of Fotomasino, the official photographers guild of UST.
On the Aliwan Fiesta 2013 photography contest, one of his photographs was chosen to be exhibited in SM Manila, July 2013. A different photograph of Jansen was put in the BlackandWhiteStreet.com's online gallery. He was also one of the photographers chosen by Fully Booked to document the German artists Jasmin Siddiqui and Falk Helman, also known as Herakut, during their live mural painting here in Manila last July 2013. Jansen won 3rd place in Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) photography workshop for Portraiture at the same year. His works were also published in Dapitan, the literary folio of the Flame, 2013 and 2014. Late last year, Jansen along with other two photographers had an exhibit during the 4th Philippine International Literary Festival entitled Text in the City which was organized by UST and UST Center for Creative Writing.
On a different note, Jansen also won honorable mention at the 29th Gawad Ustetika for the category of Sanaysay year 2013.
Jansen is based in Manila and is available for assignments in Asia.
